Our famous Farm Shop relaunches

We were delighted to reopen the doors of our Farm Shop over the bank holiday weekend to many excited guests.

Jimmy Doherty, owner of Jimmy’s Farm & Wildlife Park, was there to cut the red ribbon and officially declare the shop open.

Offering the best of Suffolk

The Farm Shop is open seven days a week offering the best of Suffolk with a range of groceries, along with carefully selected beers and wines, and of course some gifts and souvenirs to take away and remember your day out.

One family, from outside London, on holiday to the area were the first visitors inside the shop and were welcomed with a glass of prosecco, telling us:

“What a great way to start our holiday! The sun was shining and we even got to meet Jimmy.”

Extensive work & new products to be ready

The Farm Shop is within a 17th century barn, which was once one of the oldest thatched barns in Suffolk (before a new roof had to be added).

Extensive work was undertaken to ensure The Farm Shop was ready in time for its relaunch and new retail manager Kirsty has been busy finding lots of lovely items.

She commented:

“We’re really looking forward to opening the doors and welcoming our wonderful customers into the Farm Shop again.”

More developments at the Farm

The Farm Shop is one of the many new developments you will find at Jimmy’s Farm & Wildlife Park, made famous by the eponymously titled TV Show.

We have added three new Zebra, the latest of which arrived on Tuesday called Thunder.

In addition to Zebra we have a group of Barbary macaques and a new, larger group arriving shortly which we have high hopes of becoming a breeding group.

Plus, in April we welcomed Baby Tobias, a tapir born right here at Jimmy’s Farm.

Other developments include a new invertebrate enclosure in the tropical house and you can now enjoy freshly cooked pizza in our woods!
