The Lost Lands of the Tundra
We are delighted to have a pack of Arctic Foxes.
Arctic foxes are native to most of the Arctic Islands and many in the Bering Sea. They are well adapted for life at sub-zero temperatures. Their dense, woolly fur coat enables them to endure temperatures as frigid as -50°C.
Furthermore, they exhibit fur-covered foot soles and enhanced blood circulation in their paw pads to guard against freezing.
Their petite, well-furred ears and abbreviated noses also aid in minimizing heat loss.
