ABOUT THE Arctic Wolf

These remarkable animals have adapted to one of the harshest environments on Earth, and their resilience and beauty have captivated the imagination of people around the world.

Arctic wolves are smaller in size compared to grey wolves and possess smaller ears, shorter muzzles, and shorter legs to minimize heat loss in the extreme cold of their environment. They typically form packs consisting of approximately seven to ten individuals.

Did you know

When you hear a wolf howl in the night they are not howling at the moon they are communicating.

WHAT THEY EAT: Primarily Carnivorous - seals, caribou, arctic hares, birds

HABITAT: Sea ice, Coastal areas, Arctic archipelagos
