Jimmy and Jamie have won the Advocate of the Year award

We are delighted that Jimmy Doherty and Jamie Oliver have won the Advocate of the Year award at The King’s Foundation Inaugural Awards Ceremony, held at St James’s Palace London.

Our Managing Director, Michaela Doherty, received the award, presented by Patrick Grant. ‘Advocate of the Year’ is awarded to an individual who has gone above and beyond to promote the philosophy of Harmony during the year, and we’re thrilled Jimmy and Jamie were recognised for their hard work on the Food for the Future programme.

Food for the Future is a unique food education programme which aims to champion sustainability and combat food waste by giving young people a greater understanding of how the food system works, how it impacts the environment and how to better champion sustainable practices.

The Awards are set to become a regular opportunity to recognise and celebrate the work of The King’s Foundation and its wider impact. The ceremony was attended by 250 guests including nominees, their families and guests, celebrity ambassadors and notable supporters and friends of the Foundation. Ambassadors who attended the event included David Beckham, Alan Titchmarsh, Sarah Beeny and Patrick Grant.
