Our friends the Skinny Jeans Gardeners are taking over our beautiful vegetable garden!
Look out for the big launch at our Sausage and Beer Festival on 27th and 28th July.
They are having a volunteer day on the farm at the end of the month. Email firstname.lastname@example.org if you’re interested in helping.
An exerpt from their website:
If you go down to Jimmy’s Farm today you’re sure of a big surprise. Why? Because the Skinny Jean Gardeners are now lovingly tending the gardens which were once home to the original cow paddock where the dairy cows would emerge after milking plus more recently Jimmy’s wife Caela’s vegetable patch.
In true Skinny Jean Gardener style, traditional methods of horticulture will be rejected where necessary for a more alternative approach. This will include growing modern varieties of well known and much loved vegetables, sewing experimental and award winning plants from around the world plus the creation of creative educational spaces.
The Skinny Jean Gardeners at Jimmy’s Farm gardens are completely free to access. Skinny Jean Gardeners look forward to welcoming you to the gardens at Jimmy’s Farm soon
